Purpose | Solid self-leveling cement leveling compound for thin-layer screeds from 3 to 40 mm thick. |
Surface | The substrate must be solid, load-bearing, dry, uncracked, clean and free of stains that impair adhesion (dirt, grease, oil). Inspect the substrate according to applicable standards and technical sheets and point out irregularities. Remove all substances that reduce adhesion or non-adherent layers, e.g. separating substances, non-adherent residues of adhesives and leveling compounds, residues of pressures and coatings. Do this by brushing, sanding, milling or intensive sanding with a parquet sander. Thoroughly vacuum all debris and dust from the substrate. Depending on the type and condition of the substrate, use the appropriate primer from the UZIN program. The primer should dry well. Also refer to the data sheets for all other products used. |
Surface preparation | The substrate must be firm, load-bearing, dry, crack-free, clean and free of stains that impair adhesion (dirt, grease, oil). Inspect the substrate according to the applicable norms and technical data sheets and point out any irregularities.Remove any adhesion-reducing substances or unbonded layers, e.g. release agents, unbonded residues of adhesives and levelling compounds, residues of flooring and coatings. This shall be done by brushing, sanding, milling or by intensive sanding with a parquet sander. Thoroughly vacuum the substrate of all residues and dust. Depending on the type and condition of the subfloor, apply the appropriate UZIN pre-coat. The pre-coat should be well dried. Please also refer to the technical data sheets for all other products used. |
Processing | Pour 5 to 5.5 litres of cold, clean water into a clean container. Stir vigorously to mix the contents of the bag (25 kg) into a smooth, lump-free liquid mass. Use a UZIN mixer for levelling compounds. When used as a topcoat in the UZIN Turbolight® system, use 5 litres of water. Pour the mixture onto the substrate and spread it evenly with a smoothing trowel or rake. The spreading can be improved by using a hedgehog vent roller. If possible, apply the desired layer thickness in one coat. |
Effect | Self-leveling cement screed for leveling and filling substrates. For creating flat surfaces with good absorbency for laying floor coverings and for laying tiles and natural stone coverings. As a base layer in combination with the UZIN Turbolight® system. The possibility of using a pump for indoor use. |
Usage | Shelf life of at least 9 months in original packaging if stored in a dry place. By extending the storage time, curing and drying may be prolonged. This does not affect the properties of the hardened material. Close open containers tightly and use the contents quickly. It is best used at a temperature of 15-25 °C and a relative humidity below 75%. Low temperatures, high humidity and high layer thickness prolong the time, while high temperatures and low humidity accelerate curing, drying and readiness for covering. In addition, the drying process is highly dependent on the speed of air exchange. Therefore, it is very important to remove moist air, e.g. with short interrupted ventilation. In summer, store in a cool, dry place and use cold water to mix. At high temperatures of the material or the environment, consider a shorter working time. Map any dilatations to the surface, attach UZIN insulating tapes to prevent the mass from entering the joints. For layer thicknesses greater than 5 mm, edge insulating strips are usually required. They are pumped with continuous mixing pumps, e.g. manufacturers m-tec, P.F.T. and others. In the case of multi-layer filling, let the mass dry completely, apply an intermediate primer, e.g. UZIN PE 360 PLUS, and after drying, apply the next layer. The thickness of the next layer should not exceed the thickness of the previous layer. For layer thicknesses above 10 mm and on substrates sensitive to moisture, use epoxy resin primers such as UZIN PE 460 Sanded. Protect freshly filled surfaces from drafts, sunlight and heat. Cement screeds on soft or plastered substrates tend to crack. These soft or post-adhesive layers must therefore be removed as much as possible before filling. Leaving such open filler layers for too long also promotes the formation of such cracks and should be avoided. Do not leave open for too long after drying. This encourages cracking and should be avoided. If it remains open for more than 7 days, it is recommended to water it with UZIN PE 400 2 days after installation. Do not use it as a final or auxiliary pressure; a top coat should always be applied. Due to the risk of corrosion, leveling compounds must not get between the insulation and the heating pipe. This applies in particular to heating pipes made of galvanized steel. The insulation can only be cut after the putty has been applied. Observe the generally accepted rules of the trade and technology for laying parquet and floor coverings of the relevant applicable national standards (e.g. EN, DIN, ÖNORM, SIA, etc.). The following standards and prospectuses are also used, which are recommended for special attention: DIN 18 365 "Floor coverings", ÖNORM B 5236 DIN 18 352 "Tile and panel processing". DIN 18 353 "Processing screeds Leaflet TKB/FCIÖ "Assessment and preparation of substrates for floor coverings and parquet". BEB leaflet "Assessment and preparation of substrates". |
