Self-levelling cementitious floor compound, fast-drying, for thicknesses up to 10 mm
Technical
Purpose Self-levelling cementitious floor compound, fast-drying, for thicknesses up to 10 mm
Surface ---The substrate must be sound, load-bearing, dry, crack-free, clean and free from stains that impair adhesion (dirt, grease, oil). Inspect the substrate according to the applicable norms and technical data sheets and point out any irregularities. Remove any adhesion-reducing substances or non-adhering layers, e.g. release agents, non-adhering residues of adhesives and levelling compounds, residues of pavements and coatings. This shall be done by brushing, sanding, milling or by intensive sanding with a parquet sander. Thoroughly vacuum the substrate of all residues and dust. Depending on the type and condition of the subfloor, apply the appropriate UZIN pre-coat. The pre-coat should be well dried. Please also refer to the technical data sheets for all other products used.
Surface preparation ---The substrate must be solid, load-bearing, dry, uncracked, clean and free of stains that impair adhesion (dirt, grease, oil). Inspect the base according to applicable standards and technical sheets and point out any irregularities. Remove any adhesion-reducing substances or non-adherent layers, e.g. release agents, non-adherent residues of adhesives and leveling compounds, residues of pressures and coatings. Do this by brushing, sanding, milling or intensive sanding with a parquet sander. Thoroughly vacuum all residues and dust from the substrate. Depending on the type and condition of the substrate, use the appropriate primer from the UZIN program. The primer should dry well. Also refer to the data sheets for all other products used.
Processing Pour 6.0 - 6.5 liters of clean, cold water into a clean container. Shake the contents of the bag (25 kg) into the container while stirring vigorously. Mix the mixture to a thick liquid consistency, do not mix too finely. Use a mixer with the Uzin attachment to mix the leveling compounds. Let the mass ripen for about 3 minutes, then mix it again. Pour the mass onto the pre-coated base and spread it evenly with a trowel or squeegee. Try to achieve the desired thickness of the mass in one application. To improve flowability, or better application of the mass, use a spiked roller to vent the mass. For multi-layer application, allow the first layer to dry, then apply UZIN PE 360 primer. When this is dry, add the next leveling layer. The leveling compound is ready for laying the floor covering after approx. 8 hours* for every 3 mm thickness, except for wooden floor coverings after approx. 18 hours (3mm). If you sand the surface with 36 to 60 grit sandpaper, you improve the quality of the finishing surface, the homogeneous appearance of the floor covering and also the absorbency. *Applies to 20 °C and 65% rel. zr. vl.
Effect Plasticized dry mortar powder with fast hardening, with the addition of special cements, mineral fillers, additives for fluidity/better flow. When mixed with water, a self-leveling mass with hydraulic hardening is created, with excellent properties for all standard applications.
Usage The product can be stored for at least 6 months in the original sealed packaging in a dry place. Close the opened packaging tightly after use and use the product as soon as possible. Ideal working conditions are: temperature between 15 and 25°C and relative air humidity below 65%. Low temperatures, high air humidity and thicker layers prolong hardening, drying and the interval until laying the floor covering, while high temperatures and low air humidity shorten them. In summer, keep the product cool and use cold water for mixing. Dilatations of the extension must be "mapped" onto the surface. If the thickness of the mass application is over 5 mm, you must use the UZIN foam edging tape. For thicknesses over 7 mm, up to 30% of UZIN MSP quartz sand, granulation 0.2-0.5 mm, can be mixed into the mass. Suitable for mechanical application. For larger loads, the minimum thickness of the mass application is 1 mm for most substrates, and at least 2 mm for cast asphalt. If applying in two coats, first wait for the first coat to dry completely, then apply the UZIN PE 360 primer and wait for it to dry (approx. one hour*), then apply the second coat. The leveling compound applied must be protected from dust and excessive temperature. Do not use outside buildings or in wet areas. The product is not suitable as a usable pressure or a usable surface, so always finish it with a floor covering / finishing layer. Protect the freshly treated surface from drafts, direct sunlight and heat. Cement screeds tend to crack on soft or sticky substrates. Therefore, we recommend that soft or sticky layers be removed before treatment with leveling compound. Even too long open condition of leveling layers accelerates subsequent cracking. The following standards, directives and technical sheets also apply or are particularly recommended: DIN 18365: "Laying floor coverings" and technical sheet TKB "Assessment and preparation of the base for floor coverings and parquet work" Cover the dry leveling compound with the final floor covering as soon as possible . When working, use the entire system of Uzin products, otherwise you install the materials at your own risk Before using Uzin products, consult our technical service and follow the instructions on the technical sheets of all materials used
