High adhesive strength dispersion adhesive for resilient floor coverings
Technical
Purpose High adhesive strength dispersion adhesive for resilient floor coverings
Surface The substrate must be firm, flat, dry, crack-free, clean and free from stains that impair adhesion. Inspect the substrate according to the applicable norms and technical guidelines and point out any deficiencies immediately. Vacuum the substrate thoroughly and treat with a suitable pre-coat and levelling compound. Select the appropriate products from the UZIN product range according to the type of substrate, the floor covering chosen and the expected load level. Allow the pre-coat and levelling compound to dry thoroughly. Thoroughly abrade and clean sealed, non-absorbent substrates (e.g. when installing PVC flooring on UZIN KR 410) and degrease if necessary. Observe the technical data sheets for all other UZIN products used and the floor covering manufacturer's instructions.
Suitable for (space) absorbent and levelled substrates, wet or semi-wet bonding, non-absorbent substrates, heavily loaded surfaces in residential and other industrial areas hot-water and electric underfloor heating, office chair loads on castors according to DIN EN 12 519 from a minimum levelling layer thickness of 1 mm onwards, for wet shampooing and spray-extraction cleaning according to RAL 991 A2 homogeneous and heterogeneous PVC and CV linings in rolls and sheets and LVT/PVC design linings rubber linings in rolls and sheets up to a thickness of 2, 5 mm polyolefin PO and polyurethane PUR cladding in rolls up to 2,0 mm thick quartz vinyl sheets, textile cladding with all common backing designs textile cladding with latex, PVC or PUR foam backing lightweight needle-punched fleece or woven cladding

Processing 1. Spread the adhesive evenly over the substrate with a suitable notched trowel (see Consumption data) and vent it according to the adhesive process chosen, the application rate, the climatic conditions of the room, the absorbency of the substrate and the type of floor covering. Always apply adhesive only to as large an area as can be covered within the specified open time for the installation of the covering (to maintain a good wetting of the back of the covering). For standard screed installation, use only the wet/semi-wet adhesive process. 2. After a short airing period, lay the floor covering. Press the floor covering against the subfloor with a screed and roll it over. The ribs or grooves of the adhesive are pressed and spread evenly. Critical areas with deformed decking can be weighted after installation or the deformed decking can be flattened with a roller before installation. Take care to avoid air bubbles under the cladding. 3. After 20 minutes, re-treat the laid surface with a roller or apply a good coat of paint, especially at/near the edges and joints.
Effect UZIN KE 2000 Si is one of the most proven products in the field of flooring adhesives due to its wide range of applications. universal, tested and safe to use neutral odour during and after installation very good and easy application and spreading of the adhesive for wet, semi-wet, adhesive, contact and double drop bonding excellent adhesiveness with adhesive thread formation extremely strong adhesive extremely long open time
Usage The product can be stored for at least 12 months in the original closed packaging in a moderately cool place. The product must not freeze. Close the opened packaging tightly after use and use the product as soon as possible. The product should reach room temperature before use. Ideal working conditions are: temperature between 18 and 25 °C, soil temperature above 15 °C and relative air humidity below 65%. Low temperatures and high air humidity extend, and higher temperatures and low air humidity shorten the open time for installation of the floor covering, curing time and drying time. When laying linoleum, the temperature must not fall below 20 °C. Damp ground can trigger secondary emissions and odors. If you have previously leveled the base, wait for the leveling compound to dry well. Bonding directly to old adhesive residues can cause the adhesives to interact, resulting in unpleasant odors. We recommend that you remove the old layers. In any case, you must treat the remnants of the old glue with a barrier primer and then apply self-leveling leveling compound in the appropriate thickness (minimum 2 mm) over the entire surface. Before gluing, you must unfold the covering so that it is properly relaxed and adapted to the climatic conditions in the room that will prevail during later use. For the wet/semi-wet gluing process, follow the Work table for installation: lay the floor covering, roll it and post-process it. The ribs or furrows of the glue are still creamy white or only slightly dry on the surface. Adhesiveness (formation of adhesive threads) is not yet present or is still very indistinct. In the contact process, air the glue until the creamy white color of the glue becomes completely transparent. Then lay the floor covering, roll it and process it afterwards. In the double-drop process with peel-off, place the liner on top of the wet adhesive and press it against the substrate by rubbing. Peel it off immediately and air the back of the lining and the base until it becomes noticeably sticky (finger test), but the ribs or furrows of the glue must not be completely transparent! Then lay the floor covering, roll it and process it afterwards. UZIN KE 2000 Si can be used for laying rubber coverings, for laying e.g. noraplan® recommends the UZIN KE 66 wet bonding adhesive, which is reinforced with fibers, otherwise it enables even faster laying of the lining. The appearance of the surface is better when using UZIN KE 66, there is a lower risk of impressions forming during later use, and the laid floor covering is also dimensionally more stable under the influence of heat, for example when exposed to strong sunlight. In case of extreme temperature loads (sunlight), intense mechanical wear (transport carts, forklifts, etc.) or under the influence of moisture from above, we recommend polymer adhesives, e.g. UZIN KR 430, depending on the chosen floor covering. In case of uncertainty, consult a technical advisor. UZIN KE 2000 Si is an excellent adhesive for gluing wall coverings. In this case, apply the glue with a sheepskin roller on the prepared wall surface and immediately spread the glue evenly with a notched trowel and ventilate. Lay the lining and press it against the base by pressing. If necessary, fix it at the upper end with contact adhesive UZIN GN 222. Follow the generally recognized professional rules and techniques for laying floor coverings and applicable national standards (e.g. EN, DIN, VOB, OE, SIA and others). The following standards and technical guidelines also apply or are particularly recommended: - DIN 18365: "Laying floor coverings" - TKB technical guideline "Assessment and preparation of the base for laying floor coverings and parquet" - BEB technical guideline "Assessment and preparation of the base" - TKB technical guideline "Gluing PVC floor coverings" - TKB technical guideline "Gluing elastic floor coverings" - technical guideline TKB "Gluing linoleum" - TKB technical guideline "Gluing textile floor coverings"
Additional specification UZIN KE 2000 Si is a high quality dispersion adhesive for wet, semi-wet, tack, contact and double drop bonding of resilient floor coverings with outstanding adhesive thread formation. Suitable for use on floors and walls in interior applications.
